As a professional I have dedicated my life career to enhancing the quality of life for older adults. I understand that maintaining physical strength, balance, and mobility is critical in preventing falls and promoting independence. It's never too late to begin.

How am I different from all other professionals within our community?
With over 40 years of dedicated experience in teaching and training individuals, groups, and professionals in the areas of Fall Prevention, Balance, Mobility, Functional Strength and Therapeutic Pilates, I am uniquely positioned to provide a comprehensive program tailored to meet the specific needs of every individual.
Falls represent a significant health risk for older adults, often leading to serious injuries, loss of independence, and a diminished quality of life. The physical, emotional, and financial consequences of falls require immediate and effective intervention. Therefore, it is essential to implement preventive measures that enhance stability, strength, and confidence in movement among older adults.
I utilize the most current, evidence-based programs and information in the design of each class. The objective of the program is to challenge, but not exceed, the individual’s intrinsic capabilities by systematically introducing balance and mobility tasks of increasing complexity that are to be performed in a variety of practice environments that simulate those encountered during daily life.
Key components include:
Assessment and Evaluation to determine participants' individual risk factors, balance capabilities, and mobility challenges.
Customized Training Sessions are developed and implemented to address specific issues identified during the assessment. This may include strength training, balance exercises, mobility enhancement, and therapeutic Pilates techniques designed to improve core stability.
Educational Workshops are offered that educate professionals and older adults about the importance of fall prevention, risk factors, and strategies that can be adopted to enhance safety in everyday life.
Ongoing Support and Monitoring is establish with a schedule for periodic reassessments to monitor progress and adapt the program as necessary to ensure ongoing improvement and success.
Community Engagement is fostered to support community among participants through group sessions that encourage social interaction and shared learning experiences.

Functional Fitness Training
Build Strength that translates into real-life!
Our focus is on developing your Functional Fitness that translates directly into your everyday activities, allowing you to perform daily tasks with ease and confidence. With extensive education and experience from numerous evidence-based education programs. By employing a mix of strategies and current research protocols, we will work together to identify and enhance your optimal strength and movement patterns.
Fall Prevention, Balance & Mobility
Utilizing the most up-to-date evidenced based research and knowledge. Including multidimensional approach to the assessment and treatment of balance-related problems. A carefully selected battery of tests are used to identify functional strength and limitations in one or more of the systems involved in the control of balance, strength and mobility.
Trained and certified as a specialist in numerous evidenced Fall Prevention Balance and Mobility programs since 2003.
Parkinsons LSVT Program
Trained through the LSVT program, I thoughtfully facilitate this evidence-based speech, physical and occupational therapies for people with Parkinson's.
